Note: A few antivirus programs keep detecting a couple of the included files as viruses. This is false positive. These vendors were informed numerous times and the serious companies such as DrWeb and Kaspersky, update their signatures to remove the false detection within a few hours after being informed. Others, such as McAfee, despite all the efforts and contacts, don’t do anything to update their signatures. For a few unknown ones, which use third party signatures, there is no way to contact them or they simply don’t respond. This program will never knowingly distribute any kind of malware.

  2. I would really like to use it in order to boot an XP os from my usb but neither when i try it from a cd or from an image or from an unzipped setup file , after the process there is no such a bootable usb created ( i have tried as well different type of formating the flash drive – to mention that with windows 8.1 is succeded)..please what am i doing wrong? what kind of file or a preparation should i do in order to make a usb with XP?

    • Assuming you are talking about XP installer. You can’t just copy contents to USB drive and expect it to work, XP installer was never meant to run from USB and dates back to NT days when there even was no USB yet.

Need to use a program, such as WinSetupFromUSB, to modify the source and make it USB friendly. Vista and later installator, which is completely new, had USB install in mind so single source can be just copied over to USB which is prepared to start bootmgr. Multiple sources require amending the installator, again, here is what this and similar programs do, one way or another.

From your post I don’t understand if you already tried WSFUSB and XP install media and that didn’t work, and what exactly didn’t work, or you just tried to copy entire contents, which is expected not to work for the reasons above.
