Downloads

Here you can download WinSetupFromUSB and updates of the tools included.

Please do not hotlink files, use this page if you want to post a link to the program. If you need to link to a specific version, you could use version number like this:

Note: A few antivirus programs keep detecting a couple of the included files as viruses. This is false positive. These vendors were informed numerous times and the serious companies such as DrWeb and Kaspersky, update their signatures to remove the false detection within a few hours after being informed. Others, such as McAfee, despite all the efforts and contacts, don’t do anything to update their signatures. For a few unknown ones, which use third party signatures, there is no way to contact them or they simply don’t respond. This program will never knowingly distribute any kind of malware.

  1. sir windows service pack 2 is not runing speedali on service pack 2 is beter runing this usb bootable way….?

    • Your browser is sending blank referrer as far as I can see in the logs. Are you behind a firewall? Find out what is stripping out the referrer part from browser’s requests.

  2. Download links not working.
Went to this page – ./downloads/ – from main page, clicked link to “WinSetupFromUSB 1.4.7z”.
    Brought me to ./files/download-info/winsetupfromusb-1-4-7z/,
download link (button-like) sent me to ./download/winsetupfromusb-1-4-7z/,
from where you can reach ./files/download-info/winsetupfromusb-1-4-7z/ again…

Circling around, no download possible – links mixed up?

    Greetings, A.

  3. For WinSetipFromUSB.exe I get a CRC checksum of 807EA9C8.
Downloaded three times, could not get your checksum.

    • Downloads open just fine here, testing with FF, Chrome, IE and FlashGet.
When you are saying won’t open, what exactly happens- redirect, hang, broken download or what?
If you can make a better site- you are more than welcome, please contact me privately to discuss, the current one seems to do the job for now- providing information, feedback/support and download links for a free tool.

  4. This is the best tools for putting Windows OS installer i’ve ever use! Still using version beta 8 from flashboot.ru years ago, and just found the official website. Props for the dev, thank you so much!

  5. When I try to select a Windows 7 iso, it tells me “This doesn’t seem to be a valid source!”. I have tried 2 different ISOs, including one I downloaded from Microsoft themselves. I manually checked, and all the files mentioned in the error message do in fact exist, however I notice that the message specifies /boot/BCD, but bcd is in lower case in the iso. Are you using case-sensitive filenames when checking?

      • Never mind… Once I looked at the log file I discovered the problem. I was running it from a network share, and apparently it doesn’t like that. Perhaps it would be good to add some code that checks for such things and gives an appropriate error message?

        • I use quite often network share, although not tested extensively.

What is the exact network path which is failing, including ISO file names?
It would also help to post the relevant lines in the log file.

          • 2014/06/16 15:15:35- ‘\\VBOXSVR\iloving\Downloads\WinSetupFromUSB-1-4\files\tools’
CMD.EXE was started with the above path as the current directory.
UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory.
‘7z.exe’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
            operable program or batch file.

2014/06/16 15:15:35- Func _GetVistaKickerIsoSize returned an error: 2
            2014/06/16 15:15:40- Checking sizes…
            2014/06/16 15:15:40- Total source size- 0 bytes
            2014/06/16 15:15:40- Target space available- 9.54 GB

          • It wasn’t the path of the ISO that was failing… it was the path to the executables themselves. I was running Windows in a VM, and lauching winsetup from the download directory on my host machine.

  6. i’m blocked aas well on firefox 30.

I disabled noscript and google disconnect.
    the link won’t expand.

  7. i got it somewhere else.

You can’t even use a proxy to download it faster on 3g dongle.
Some nonsense about hotllinking and redirects.

    bad site!!.

    • If you ask politely and change attitude we may figure out what the issue is with your browser and hopefully get it fixed.
And yes, there are some checks for hotlinking, no idea why you’d need a proxy at all, but if it’s sending blank http referers it won’t be allowed.
