Note: A few antivirus programs keep detecting a couple of the included files as viruses. This is false positive. These vendors were informed numerous times and the serious companies such as DrWeb and Kaspersky, update their signatures to remove the false detection within a few hours after being informed. Others, such as McAfee, despite all the efforts and contacts, don’t do anything to update their signatures. For a few unknown ones, which use third party signatures, there is no way to contact them or they simply don’t respond. This program will never knowingly distribute any kind of malware.

  1. I love this tool, lets work Win ,LInux ,Iso under grub.
Please can you integrate setup in grub.exe (ver0.4.5.c) again.

    Thx a lot

    • Use latest version, currently 1.3. Select the auto-format option, leave it FAT32. Check the “Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / Server 2008/2012 based ISO” option, press browse (the three dots button), select the Windows 8 ISO file, press GO.
      That’s all.

    • Are you getting this when formatting the USB disk? Make sure no other program is using it, turn off antivirus etc. or try with another disk to rule out faulty hardware.

  2. yes when i try to format usb on FAT 32 Format i try defferent type of USB Flash but same ERROR what should i do now?

    • There is no such error in the log file. Are you getting it when running RMPrepUSB? Try the auto-format option instead, or BootIce. Send a new log file if still having problems.

Which disk are you trying to use? There are quite a few connected, unplug temporally unneeded ones if possible.

    • I don’t understand the question. Windows To Go is a feature of Windows 8 Enterprise, meaning that, at least officially, you need to boot in such and use the feature to create such USB. Where do you see the role of WinSetupFromUSB? If you mean whether program can create USB disk to install Win8 Enterprise- it’s already supported, but you do need to install and run it to create WinToGo the official way.
If you mean whether program can directly create WinToGo drive out of suitable source- no, that’s far from the scope of the program and there are already existing tools and guides- WinNTSetup for example. Maybe in future such option will be added, but I can’t promise that will be soon.

  3. admin,firstly thanks to you for your great software.can u fix a small problem..pls…
    when i create multiboot such as(xp,7,8 & other utility),its work fine.but when
“i boot win 8 pro & win 8.1 its take much time & also showing as win 7 loader type”…pls solve this prob…

    • About slow loading- that’s most likely because your BIOS boots in USB 1.1 speed rather than full 2.0. Try the auto-format option which will add quick boot (F2 key at boot) menu to launch PLoP boot manager first which loads own USB 2.0 drivers.
If only one source loads slowly then look for problems with the source itself.
As for the incorrect detection- the source mist be heavily customized, having installer from Win7 applying Win8 image. There is an advanced option which allows you to enter your own boot name and directory where source is placed, use it with such sources. If you think that’s not the case, have a look at the FAQs page how to gather log files and post a link to review them.
