Here you can download WinSetupFromUSB and updates of the tools included.

Please do not hotlink files, use this page if you want to post a link to the program. If you need to link to a specific version, you could use version number like this:

Note: A few antivirus programs keep detecting a couple of the included files as viruses. This is false positive. These vendors were informed numerous times and the serious companies such as DrWeb and Kaspersky, update their signatures to remove the false detection within a few hours after being informed. Others, such as McAfee, despite all the efforts and contacts, don’t do anything to update their signatures. For a few unknown ones, which use third party signatures, there is no way to contact them or they simply don’t respond. This program will never knowingly distribute any kind of malware.

  1. Already tried for NTFS. It showes
    128 (HEX : 0×80),
File System Type is NTFS, Partition Type 0x07
    128 (HEX : 0x80)
    Error 17 :
    Cannot mount selected petition

  2. ANYBODY HELP PLZ……..

    Hiren’s supported only FAT32.
    I made a usb 16GB drive with XP-SP3, 7, 8, UBUNTU 12.4 AND HIREN’S BOOT CD 15.2 USING WinSetupFromUSB_1-3_x64
WIN & UBUNTU runs well but HIREN’S shows Error.
Its shows Error like 128 (HEX : 0×80),
File System Type is fat, Partition Type 0x0C,
    Error! Couldnot find /ISO/Hiren’s 15.2-Restored-V1.1.iso

But Hiren’s 15.2-Restored-V1.1.iso exist in ISO folder.
I have tried it with BOTH OF NTFS & FAT32.

  3. Just try to copy HBCD folder from your Hiren’s BootCD iso to your USB drive and add this line on menu.lst file on your USB drive :

    title Hiren’s BootCD
    find –set-root /HBCD/menu.lst
    configfile /HBCD/menu.lst

This is not adding Hiren’s BootCD as iso but as files. Tested work on NTFS and FAT32.
If you want to try, let me know if something is goes wrong.

  4. I have problem only with Windows XP SP3 iso, other os (nt6 and ubuntu) boot fine
On my old laptop which (cannot boot from usb), use Plop Boot Manager to enable boot from usb, then works well.
Problem is when windows xp setup cannot continue on first step: Setup is inspecting your computers hardware configuration

    • Try with NTDETECT.COM from Pos2009, use the advanced option for custom NTDETECT.COM and put again the XP source.
You may also try other PLoP version.
As far as I remember tt may also hang this way, if there is strange for XP partition table and/or unrecognized partition, Linux ext3 for example.
Another option could be to try recent grub4dos 0.4.6a version, which include USB 2.0 driver and initialize USB controllers with “usb –init” command.

        • Program uses 7-zip internally to extract the boot files from the ISO file, proper, undamaged UDF ISOs work just fine.
Does regular 7-zip program open that file?
Are you sure the file is not corrupted, while downloading it for example?

  5. I want to make one usb with WIN XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 Installation disk. can somebody help me with this .

    Thanks in advance

    • 0) It’s good idea to select the option auto-format option. Note, the USB disk will be reformatted and all data on it will be deleted.
      1) Put a check mark on the “Windows 2000/XP/2003 Setup” option, press the tree dots button on the same field, browse to the folder where XP setup files are.
If you have an ISO file, extract it first or mount it as a virtual CD using ImDisk, Daemon Tools etc. then use that extracted path or drive letter of the virtual CD when selecting XP source
      2) Put a check mark on “Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / Server 2008/2012 based ISO” option, press the tree dots button, browse to the ISO file containing your Windows 7 source.
      3) Press GO and wait until you see “Job Done” message.
      4) Select again “Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / Server 2008/2012 based ISO” option, press the tree dots button, browse to the ISO file containing your Windows 8 source.
      5) Press GO again and wait until completed.

That’s all put as detailed as possible.

Can you tell me, which part of the interface is actually confusing you and why? If there is a room for improvement I’d gladly make changes.
