Supported Sources

Here is an incomplete list of some of the supported sources tested with WinSetupFromUSB.
Since new sources are added frequently, please check again for updates.

Tests are usually performed on a NTFS formatted USB flash disk, including the Linux based ones. If there are additional steps needed to get a source going or another file system is needed, there will be a note.

Please leave a comment if you have tested another source, with a description and link to it, or if you have a request for a new one.

  1. Hi, I have a question, this also allows to implement Windows XP SP3 (x86) and Windows 7 SP1 (X64) from ISOS non-standard?

  2. Hi,
Thanks for the super-awesome tool! However, when adding the ISO for Fedora 21 workstation 64bit to the ISO folder and adjusting the menu to read from it, when Fedora starts it works fine, but attempting to install it to the HDD via Anaconda crashes the installer. When using a tool like Rawrite32 to apply the ISO to a flash drive, the fedora install works fine. All the other Linux ISOs I have added this way work fine. Something special about Anaconda or the way it queries the hardware. Any ideas?

    • I got up to the partition selection screen, where I had to cancel because did not have free space to install to it.
      How far do you get?

      • I should note that I’m using a usb HDD, not a flash drive. I think that may be related, as I have now seen other issues when installing Linux from USB HDD. Maybe the issue is not the fault of WinSetupFromUSB.

  3. SIR ,why have you struck off the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool from the list of Antivirus Rescue Disks ? is it supported?

    • It’s not supported, Symantec removed core files from WinPE, at least in the versions I’ve tested an year ago. Newer versions might work, just try.

  4. hello I need to know how to uninstall 1.Fuduntu (Linux Distro) which I had added . Since I dont require it now . How do I remove it from the USb pen drive.
