Supported Sources

Here is an incomplete list of some of the supported sources tested with WinSetupFromUSB.
Since new sources are added frequently, please check again for updates.

Tests are usually performed on a NTFS formatted USB flash disk, including the Linux based ones. If there are additional steps needed to get a source going or another file system is needed, there will be a note.

  1. Thank you for a brilliant product..

The best usb-creator for me, the best part of Winsetupfromusb that I like is the “Auto Format with FBInst” feature..

    Thanks again..

    • With a little work I was able to put in the same pendrive:

      Hiren’s, with Mini Windows XP,
      Ubuntu,
      XP Professional,
      Windows 7,
      Windows 10.

And there is still room for a folder with the most used programs. 🙂

  2. Thank You for Your Hard Work
    I have two request
    First:
Please can you add support for UEFI under NTFS file system like rufus tools did

    Second:
Please can you add support for “Boot cd/usb sergeistrelec” this the web site http://www.sergeistrelec.ru/
it is like Hirens Boot CD except it is based on windows10 or 8
    all process go well
but when the bootable windows start some programs don’t start

    sorry for my English

    • Not sure if I would fine spare time to play with this, besides, FAT32 works just fine and large files are not an issue as they are split in parts in the recent versions.

About that ISO, I need to test, if it includes warez/unlicensed programs as I suspect, I won’t be able to offer any help.

  3. Hi I installed Windows 10 x64 created by Microsoft Media Creation Tool on my usb but when I test it the installation hangs on “Windows is loading files”.
