itaushanov, I had read the FAQ you referenced. It took a couple of times for it to sink in, but I now understand. Only the 64 bit installs show up when booted under UEFI, they all show up when booting under BIOS. Thank you very much for your help.
Went through the FAQs. Is there a way to remove something from the USB disk without rebuilding it? As example I have Widows 8.1 x86 & x64, how would I remove the x86? Thanks.
Figured it out. Just remove the folder, then use VisualBCD to edit the boot\bcd file.
That’s correct. If it’s added to the EFI boot menu, you’d need to edit \efi\microsoft\boot\bcd as well. The included BootIce also has BCD editor.
hi
and if i want to replace a windows 7 or 8 iso, i can edit the bcd file but how about the path to the iso where is that stored?
because my iso’s have a build date in the name and also the one on USB stick
also if i compare the boot wim file on iso and the one that is extracted they are not the same
i did think if i extract it my self from iso and replace it on USB stick this will work (did not try this yet just an observation)
Path to the ISO file is stored in ….\system32\WinPEShl.ini in boot.wim, which has other modifications as well, so you can’t simply replace it with another, unmodified one.
I doubt you’d be saving any time by doing these manual edits. Given a USB stick with decent write speed (>20MB/s), adding a new 3-4GB source, deleting or not the previous one, takes just a few minutes…
If you are refreshing only install.wim in your source, you could simply replace just the ISO file with the new one, preserving the file name and keeping the initial modified boot.wim.
I’ve not been able to find where I could edit he name of the .ISO. I realize your .ISOs have the build date in the name, but if you replace the .ISO with another with the same name it works fine.
Hi
thanks for the answer
and the WIM file can i extract it my self from iso and replace it with the one USB stick
I installed Windows xp successfully… But when my pc boot it always shows two option.. one being Windows default options.. I want to remove it.. Please help. ..

Hi everione. I’m trying to install Windows XP SP III on ACER ASPIRE ONE. Everything went fine, but when I want to continue with the 2nd. part I can’t. The system throw me to the 1st screen (where the system indicates the O.S).
Can you help me please. The software is excellent and it helps me a lot.
Thanks!
Can you describe better this:
” The system throw me to the 1st screen (where the system indicates the O.S).”
What exactly this screen is?
What exactly happens when you select whats on it?
Have you deleted all partitions and create new ones during setup if possible? Old partitioning can often lead to such results.
Hi Itaushanov. Finally I could instal Windows XP SP3 on the ACER ASPIRE ONE.
What I mean when I wrote that is that I couldn’t choose the option of “2nd. part of windows” for installing. When I did that the system redirect me to “0. windows XP SP3” (the option in which I choose the O.S),
I had deleted all partitions before beggining the instalation.
I resolved the problem putting off the Flash Disk after the finish of 1st part instalation. And when the 1st. screen of Windows appear I conect it again.
I hope it can help someone.
Thanks!
Hi. How to free spaces from deleting some OS bootable (as windows, linux, etc) from WinSetupFromUSB’s utility? Thanks.
Which OS exactly? They are put in a different way.
How to add several ISO image?
Take a look at FAQ and Tutotials pages.
I’m trying to add windows server 2012 r2 but the program goes into a “note responding mode”
Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/sA8JuaSB
I’ve no idea what could be going wrong, as the log file shows no errors nor clues as to why it would freeze. Have you tried to run it again? I’ve seen cases when stock bcdedit hangs for no apparent reason, program waits for its output, but there is no such and gets stuck.
I see many other similar sources already added, were there any issues adding them?
No problem with other OS.
But i have noticed, it seems like there is problem adding a 4th windows installation. No matter what windows os i try, it’s always problem with the 4th. Is there any limitation in how many I can have on the stick?
Limit is only available space, I’ve been adding more than 20..
Please i have big problem when i used it to burn xp on it i been filed then i try to format it i got this mag the disk is write protected please help me http://prntscr.com/5ph4sx
If there is no hardware switch for write protection turned on, then the USB stick is faulty.
