  1. “Установка windows на данный диск невозможна. Выбранный диск имеет стиль разделов gpt”. Как быть?

  2. Maybe I’m being dumb, but I’ve formatted the USB with NTFS and added Win 10 and Win 7 isos so see those two options, but how do I simply run the main WIn10 OS from my internal system rather than these two new versions? Do I have to make sure I unplug the USB first? I was expecting another option on the boot menu to run it rather than any from the USB. Maybe I’ve forgotten to do something.

    • Go to computer boot menu and start from the internal disk.
That’s usually pressing F12, Esc or other hot key during initial boot, depending on the computer make and model. Other option is to go to BIOS/UEFI boot order and make the internal.disk first.
Or simply remove the USB disk.

If you start in BIOS/compatible mode, you should see a menu from the program named “boot first internal disk”.

If you used NTFS then you most likely won’t be able to start in UEFI mode, unless the computer UEFI firmware supports NTFS, which is rare. Need to use FAT32 for UEFI.

  3. Hello, how to restore file FBdisk2-x-x.bin from backup folder? i format xbox 360 hard drive with fbtools and xbox dont see it, maybe restore this file help

  4. Few months ago I successfully made usb boot and include Win10 pro X64 and X86 versions (20H1). How to remove both editions and copy to usb new versions (20H2), without reformatting usb flash drive.
    Thank you.

  5. With a WinPE iso, should I check “Windows Vista / 7 / 8 /10 …based ISO” or “Linux ISO/Other Grub4dos compatible ISO”. It seems to work either way, except the former also generates about 30 unnecessary language folders.

    • I would use Windows/PE option as it will also support UEFI boot.
These language folders are coming from the source, program won’t create them on its own.

    • It will likely be not bootable unless prepared in a similar way.
You wouldn’t save much time by copying contents as opposed to preparing the other stick the same way.

      • I do this all the time (to create a backup copy of my USB drive):
        1) Format the new USB drive with FBINST
        2) copy everything else with xcopy, beyond compare, or simply with Windoze copy-and-paste

It saves a great deal of time over redoing all the WinSetupFromUSB dialogues, and insures I have an exact copy, instead of making mistakes in folder names, iso names, menu entries, etc.

You MIGHT potentially create a problem with Linux iso’s not being defragmented after being copied. If so, that can be handled with defraggler.

        • That applies if you bhave a lot of customized call menus and folder names.
If using only handful of sources with default settings as I usually do, I would simply prepare the other disk in the usual way. Not a biggie, either way works.

    • Quite likely yes, with some manual intervention. Depends what’s in these ISOs and whether the recovery program expects DVD or not.
Can you open root and sources folder in each of the ISOs in Explorer if you are in Windows 10 or in 7-zip if not amd post screenshots to see what’s in these?

    • with my experience NO . I already the .iso file and tried to make a bootable usb and it would not. This program is useless as it does nothing but give ridiculous errors. There is not even any explanation as to how to use it. It has 5 choices below the interface with no explanation of what one is supposed to do with them. Does one check it only? or do you enter if anything in the bigger place to fill in?
      and what after that

    • From my experience NO. I tried it with an already i had .iso file and it would not work but just give ridiculous uncalled for error. Also there is not instruction
as how to use it . There are 5 boxes below and what are they supposed to mean? And does one just check the box or fill something in the apparent blank
      space also and then what.

      • You don’t have to do anything buddy, it’s all mystery, just skip this site and softwaren if it upsets you that much and feel it’s all useless and carry on.

  6. Скажите пожалуйста , а как WinSetupFromUSB разбивает iso на две части? После записи образа windows 10.iso , на флешке появились два файла (windows 10.iso.001 и windows 10.iso.002) , точнее сказать какой программой?

    • Take a look in program directory, maybe tools folder, there is a program for this, I don’t recall the name, FileSplit or something like this. I am away from the PC to check for you.
