Note: A few antivirus programs keep detecting a couple of the included files as viruses. This is false positive. These vendors were informed numerous times and the serious companies such as DrWeb and Kaspersky, update their signatures to remove the false detection within a few hours after being informed. Others, such as McAfee, despite all the efforts and contacts, don’t do anything to update their signatures. For a few unknown ones, which use third party signatures, there is no way to contact them or they simply don’t respond. This program will never knowingly distribute any kind of malware.

  1. To all techs!!! Stay with version 1.5, because most things work 🙂

    PC Check 6.21
    Micro Scope 14
    Hiren’s BCD 15.2
    Reset Win Pass 5
    Partition Wizard 9.1
    Acronis TIBCD 2015
    ESET SysRes 1.0.9
    Windows XP SP3
    Windows 7 SP1 32Bit
    Windows 7 SP1 64Bit
    Windows 8.1 64Bit
    Windows 10 64Bit
    Linux Lite 2.6 32Bit
    Linux Lite 2.6 64Bit

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it 😉

  2. NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: XP install does not work past version 1.4
Haven’t tried 1.6b1. but tried: 1.5, 1.6b2 and 1.6. It just crashes on
setup part 2… (auto format FBinst – NTFS)…
Is it still a challenge? 😉

      • I’ve put XP install on my old cheap 2GB flash drive and workarounded the version issue. I’m just wondering will there be any attempts on fixing this bug in future versions. Zombie still plays music on some old machines 🙂 And it’s always cool to have it all on one drive. THX for the reply.

        • Are you saying that with the old 2 gb drive latest versions worked, but not with some other drive?
Can you provide more details what exactly failed and what worked, using what exact drive, on what exact hardware?

          • It’s about 2 GB no name drive (where XP now sits alone in the dark, built with version 1.4), and Kingston DataTraveler Micro 3.1 64 GB drive, but no, drive doesn’t matter. Windows XP install worked perfectly alongside Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 no problems, up to version 1.4. Version 1.5 – ”Changes from 1.4” added Windows 10 support… Bum XP install no longer works… So sorry for the confusion. It’s just basically that XP crashes on setup part two with 1.5 and above. Crashes two times and then third time it hangs with some file missing (can’t remember)… Also tried on at least 3 machines, and also tried 64 GB drive with xp on it and nothing else… My system is Acer Aspire 5742ZG if that’s of any help.

            • I will take a look when get back to my machine after the holidays. This part has not been touched for ages, probably since 1.0 version, but might have missed a file or something else when doing the package.

Can you make sure that no antivirus software is messing up with program’s files on your side where disk is being prepared?
There is a file, which gets executed at start of second part of setup, and av programs dislike it for some reason, despite all the reports for false positive sent along with the 10 lines source code of it.

A full set of log files when xp source was prepared would also help, details how to provide them are in the FAQ.

            • Just tested stock XP with 1.6 version- everything worked just fine.
Can you try with stock, unmodified source, making sure no antivirus program interferes when preparing the USB disk?

    • No version can select XP ISO, you have to extract it or mount it as virtual disk.
Please go through the tutorials, it’s all written step by step.
