Supported Sources

Here is an incomplete list of some of the supported sources tested with WinSetupFromUSB.
Since new sources are added frequently, please check again for updates.

  1. Hello everybody!
I try to add Windows 10 LTSC 2019 to 64GB flash drive. I’ve got original ISO and just added old HP printer drivers. First off all, WinsetupfromUSB recognized this ISO as PE image, not install image as Windows 10 1809, Windows 8.1/7. When I try to boot from this flah drive anf select Windows 10 LTSC setup programm says: “Do you want to Repair Windows? Yes will start Recovery Options Will continue in 5 seconds” and two bottons “Yes” and “No”. In any case computer will restart. Tested on severals different PCs.WinsetupfromUSB – lates version from this site.

    • This is the interesting part in the log, unable to find install.wim/esd/swm in /sources/. Does either of these files exist in sources folder in your ISO?
There is install.wim in the file I just downloaded- 17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_CLIENT_LTSC_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso.

  2. OMG!!! When I convert wim to esd and raname it, letter “l” was desapiered. I’m so sorry. Thank you.

  4. Hi. I don’t see Kali Linux in the list of supported sources. I will be really good to have it as it is a popular Linux distribution for pen testing.
    Thanks and regards.

    • Most likely it’s supported, just not tested, all you have to do is to try.
      Page clearly says:
Here is an incomplete list of some of the supported sources tested with WinSetupFromUSB.
Which means- a lot more are supported, in practice nearly all Linux distros are, just not listed or not tested given the huge number of distros and their versions.
