Can you please explain how to edit the OS list?
I try to remove some and after deleting the folder , they are still appear in menu.
Great tool but I miss this add/remove OS from USB.

The procedure for “editing the OS list” is described in the FAQ Item 15. “How to remove already added sources?” It differs for different source types. Go to http://www.winsetupfromusb.com/faq/, and scroll down to Item 15.

The ISO is WinPE based on Windows 8, in Chinese. I tried to change the locale from Chinese to English (U.S.) but the error persists.

update: I hot hold of another WinPE image, Chinese too, and that one works. So it’s probably non-standard file layouts in the image or something.
Hi, Anytime I add a 2nd ISO (win 10) it forces my win7 iso to crash with error 000000359 windows/system32/xxxx.efi file missing. if I just load my win 7 iso alone… it boots and runs just fine. Only when i add the win10 iso.
Is that with stock ISOs? What happens if you add Win7 second?
Created a boot disk with Windows 10. I checked on the laptop Asus. Working.
But the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15.6 – gives an error

You`ll need to use recovery tools. if you don`t have any installation media ( like a disc or USB

Can you start it in BIOS/compatibility mode? Does it have such?

Tried to create a USB with both Macrium Rescue (ISO using WinPE) and Parted Magic (Linux). I used “Windows… based ISO” for Macrium and “Linux… GrubISO” for Parted Magic.
When booting in BIOS it works well, but when booting in UEFI it does not display the menu and boots Macrium directly.
Is there any way of get the menu in UEFI mode?

UEFI boot is supported for Windows based sources only
This is a great program! I made an omniboot by using winsetupfromusb first, and then switched to Yumi-Uefi to add linux bootable iso’s in uefi mode. From that moment the disk boots into grub2. I manually added a grub entry to reach for the windows setups.
It would be a nice addition if linus iso’s could be booted into uefi with this program
All linux stuff is handled by grub4dos which doesn’t and won’t support UEFI because of its nature of using BIOS calls. The closest alternative which supports UEFI, grub2, can’t yet provide the needed functions to replace grub4dos, hence the lack of such support for the linux ISOs.
Grub4dos has a way of booting just about any Linux ISO with no customisation at all. Same can’t be achieved with grub2, at least not yet.

Then I realize that the error hapends on mi notebook, updated to Windows Fall Creators Update (1709), but not have the same issue on Windows 7 or older versions of Windows 10.
Is there an uncompatibility with the new version of Windows 10?

Is everything absolutely the same- program location, no file sync services running on the program location etc. ?
Getting error “This doesn’t seem to be a valid source” when attempting to use latest ISO image for Windows 10 Pro x64 downloaded using Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool.
I have just downloaded Windows 10 x64 ISO with Media Creation Tool and it worked just fine. Preparing the source on Win 10 x64 machine, fully updated.
Maybe you got a bad download or something? Does 7-zip open your ISO? Can you post the log file? Details in the FAQ.

I’m trying to use it on UEFI secure boot computers, and it fail to boot on the USB key.
The USB is first in the boot order in bios.
I deactivated the secure boot in bios, and it still failed.
I deactivated UEFI (for legacy boot) in bios and the boot on usb finally worked.
From hereI tried to install Lubuntu, it went OK,but lubuntu failed to install the boot loader (it asked to created a >1MB boot-bios partition, sorry I don’t remember exaclty the message).
I had managed to install Lubuntu this way on an older computer (maybe UEFI was not available on this computer, I need to check but I’m away from home).
Any thoughts on this ?
UEFI boot is supported for Windows only. Why Lubuntu failed to install I can’t really comment. I guess you need to take care of the boot process on the destination drive during the installation. *buntu forums and wiki are the place to look for help.

We use Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset(DART) and i wonder if i can put it in my usb key with this tool .
I tried using DART10 with the Windows 7/8/10 based ISO but i’m facing an error – waiting for usb .
I have a Windows10 in the same key and it boot up .
Is dart compatible ?
