  1. I have USB HDD and working well.

I also have USB SSD but winsetupfromusb won’t find it.

Does your software supports SSD ????? If not, then you have bug and should fix it.

    • Go to advanced options and select display disks on all interfaces.
Then be very careful what disk you select!

  2. WinSetupFromUSB is one of the few tools that supports booting with secure boot enabled, thanks for that.

Acronis or Macrium and other boot ISOs work fine but they only include the boot.wim.

With Hiren’s Boot CD or Winbuilder ISOs, the virtual DVD drive is mounted but it is not assigned to the drive letter (Y:) and thus the programs from the ISO are not mounted.

    Can this be changed?

I have extracted a Winbuilder PE into root of the USB drive
The virtual DVD drive is not visible but the programs are on the RAMDisk (B:) and Boot (X:). The disadvantage, you can only use an All in One ISO.

  3. Help! I’ve tried many times the USB doesn’t boot every time I boot from the USB laptop I just restart it and enter the bios I’ve tried various methods such as going to fat 32 and ntfs try to reinstalling the iso it always fails

  4. Could not mount the virtual disk.Cannot continue, press ok to reboot.

I ran into this problem once before and changed to another system and it worked OK but now I have tried another laptop, changed iso file, downloaded a fresh version of winsetupfromusb. I still have the same problem, please help.

  5. So version 1.10 was working fine and I made a couple of bootable flash drives without issues. I wanted to add another boot item to a flash drive but when I run the program now I get “one or more of the program files or directories are missing”. I have re-downloaded the program and re-installed it to no avail. I am running Windows 11 and WSFUSB was working fine a couple of months ago. I am thinking a Windows update killed it.

    • Ok. I was able to fix it by deleting the folder WSFUSB was installed in and then creating a new folder and installing to that folder……. with the same name. Weird.

  6. error ! D:\xp_iso\i386\TXTSETUP.SIF or D:\xp_iso\amd64\TXTSETUP.SIF could not found
retry to select another source or cancel to return tothe main menu
